An introduction to the book "The Great War With Germany, 1890-1914: Fictions & Fantasies of the War-to-Come" is presented in which the author discussed T. W. Offin's account of the war tale "How the Germans Took London" and Gustav Adolf Erdmann's "Wehrlos zur See" (Defenceless at Sea).
