Sumario:	The article discusses how globalization and the cultural hybridisation of media have affected the importation of boys' love (BL) manga, a form of Japanese comics depicting homoerotic relationships between men, to the U.S. The author suggests the popularity of BL manga may be related to the popularity of romance fiction and homoerotic fanfiction in the U.S. and notes that BL stories involving incest and children are licensed less often by U.S. publishers.
