Those who are impressed into service and those who seem to have made a profession of overseas consulting because of apparent inadequacies to meet the competition back home should be excluded from such service and that it involves a continuing process of dedicated service to the end of tour. Their accuracy is not always improved either by the American press dispatches, which often display a bias. They have properly viewed the possible consequences of a rapid escalation collision course and have become horrified and blinded such a course is overwhelmingly genocidal and is the last alternative once-sane men would choose. They live in trauma every day, which vitiates their judgment and patience, minimizes their courage and dissipates their morality.
