Sumario:The article offers information on the useful guidelines in conducting research related to genetics. Several variables should be considered to measure the sample size including genotyping errors, statistical tests and size of expected effect. An examination of the population mix is required to assess genetic heterogeneity. The type of statistical analysis applied should also be regarded including contingency analysis, logistic regression and coefficient interpretation.
