| Sumario: | The author reflects on the need of re-evaluating postcolonial studies during the time of transnationalism worldwide. He believes of the need to re-assessed them because the onset of these cultural studies in 1990s not only brought humanities and social sciences programs across Western and non-Western universities, but changed the perspectives of the orient and the occident. Moreover, he adds that postcolonial studies encourages Westerners to take initiative in nation-building. |
