He says that what matters for Deleuze is the plane of immanence, that to think is to install oneself on this plane, which implies a way of life. His analysis of Deleuze's views on thinking, on how he came to suggest philosophy as a way of life, showed him that his philosophy is a spiritual and political exercise in the emancipation of life—a spiritual politics.
