| Sumario: | The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is offering its home page on the web as an option for contractors that want to submit bids electronically, thereby making the process more accurate and efficient. By downloading information from the ODOT web site directly, contractors can prepare their bids on a computer disk. The software involved, the Electronic Bidding System (EBS), allows for automatic calculations and eliminates mathematical errors. To date, the EBS software has been tested on 25 percent of the total bids received by ODOT in 1997. |
