Summary:	The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is opening a $6 million community center in the Williamsburg area in Brooklyn. The center is one of several that NYCHA is building to enhance recreational and educational facilities for residents. It is intended to complement the neighborhood's historic Williamsburg Houses, a 24-building public housing complex built in 1938, but is open to the whole community. The center covers 21,000 square feet and includes an indoor basketball court.
