Advances in IT along with the reduced cost of hardware has increased the quality and cost effectiveness of streaming video applications. In line with these trends, there has been a notable increase in the use of streaming video for surveillance and monitoring applications. Advice on establishing a streaming video distribution system for an intranet is provided.
