Sumario:Part of a special issue on progressive and conservative legal ordering in the spheres of private, criminal, and international law. The writer investigates whether recent developments in corporate law—the growing extra-legal critiques, the emerging progressive approach to corporate law, and the crisis of confidence in corporate governance led by the notorious collapse of Enron Corp. in 2001—will actually drive meaningful reform. She outlines the dominant paradigm and the emerging progressive assessments of corporate law then offers a further analysis from the perspective of feminist legal theory. She concludes by arguing that a feminist commitment is essential to the progressive corporate law project.
