      ab: From the perspective of disruptive innovations it discusses the arrival of digital reading devices (like Amazon's Kindle, Sony e-reader etc.) and the challenges they bring to book publishing companies. Empirical data source comes from qualitative expert interviews with European publishers, which indicate that most managers are not seeing risks associated with digital formats by assuming that the market of devices and book readers themselves are not ready for switching to digital formats - like it was the case in the music industry.
