The earnings of young college-educated workers, which increased rapidly during the early and mid 1980s, began to decline late in the decade as unemployment rose. The data also reveal a shift away from executive, managerial, and professional specialty occupations and toward technical, sales, and administrative support types of jobs. Tables and charts provide information on changes in the labor force participation rates, unemployment rates, earnings, occupations, and health insurance benefits of college-educated men and women.
