The bureau's latest projection suggests that total employment will rise by 18.6 million jobs in the 1996–2006 period, increasing from 132.4 million to 150.9 million. Occupations that require at least an associate's degree are expected to grow more rapidly than those calling for less education or training. Many occupations needing less formal education and training are likely to see above-average growth as well, however. |
