Nonetheless, the current rollback strategies are either militarily ridiculous, abhorrent to vital American allies, or unacceptable to the American people. The only serious option, therefore, is renewed containment to keep Iraq in its place. Any move from that policy to rollback would be a disastrous mistake that could easily lead to thousands of unnecessary deaths. |
