In addition to liberty, however, the Pledge of Allegiance promises justice, something Bush made no reference to. Opponents of the United States fear that the freedom so loudly supported by the nation translates into a license for the rich and powerful to take advantage of the poor and the weak, and they wage their anit-Americanism in the name of justice.
