Description
Summary:Supercomputers are bringing out the stunning beauty of science through data visualization and simulations. At the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois, the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility employs the high-performance IBM Blue Gene/P Intrepid supercomputer to visualize, analyze, and communicate vast quantities of information. The planet's largest graphic processing unit, nicknamed Eureka, is at the center of the facility, providing over 111 teraflops of processing power.
