| Sumario: | The Inventory of American Sculpture, a project of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American Art, will soon allow art experts to track the country's sculpture by way of a computer index that will list both publicly and privately owned works. The index, which will be part of a national computerized network of information, will be accessible to scholars through computer terminals in research centers like libraries and archives and even through home computers. The system, which is expanding from a base of 24,000 records gathered during the past 20 years, should be ready for public use by 1991.
