| Sumario: | Rampant population growth remains an issue of global concern, but public interest in the problem has been difficult to sustain. High-resolution computer graphics can be used to communicate the complex and interdependent issues involved in worldwide population growth and can help put the issue back near the top of the international political agenda. Computer-generated charts provide data on energy consumption in relation to the rate of population growth, cities that are projected to have populations of more than 4 million by the year 2000, Latin American population trends, the drop in Latin American fertility, and the proportion of Latin American couples with access to family planning services.
