| Sumario: | When searching for reasons behind regional business success stories, analysts usually point to factors such as airports, universities, and tax policies, but for many entrepreneurs, business opportunity is more closely linked to what might be termed cultural factors. Cultural factors include a willingness to engage in risk taking and to assist newcomers in making their way in the local economy. The secret of the majority of entrepreneurial boom cities is that they enjoy not only low taxes and loose regulatory regimes but also large, growing populations of business-minded, hard-working, highly motivated individuals. |
