Sumario:Shares in VA Linux and Red Hat have fallen drastically to levels close to their initial public offering price, and the two companies are among the prime victims of Wall Street's recent mild attack of rationality. Shares in VA Linux rose almost 700 percent in the first day of trading, but investors have become wary of untried business plans, which is all that most Linux companies offer. Linuxcare and TurboLinux recently announced major staff layoffs and the departure of their chief executives.
