| Summary: | The 12-item Domino scale was used to assess attitudes toward physician-assisted suicide (PAS) among a sample of 400 community adults. Findings revealed that the Domino scale was factorially homogenous and displayed considerable internal stability; no gender differences were detected, but significant socioeconomic class differences were obtained with better educated, upper-class individuals more favorable in attitude than semi-skilled and unskilled poorly educated lower social class individuals; and the majority of subjects supported PAS, but this support was inversely related to age. |
