Sumario:A study was conducted to determine how the adoption and diffusion of digital technology affects the work environment of photojournalists in relation to the production of images, storage, flexibility, interpersonal relationships, autonomy, and control over photographs. Interviews with seven photojournalists affiliated with the 58th Picture of the Year International competition identified significant benefits and several disadvantages arising from the adoption of the digital imaging technology. However, a consensus was detected among the interviewees that, if one has the correct attitude, the benefits of digital imaging outweigh the drawbacks.
