Sumario:A literature review was conducted to examine some of the ways that the practice of traditional journalism is being affected by the world's first interactive mass medium. Interviews with news reporters and news readers, listeners, and viewers in the Denver Metro Area identified four types of reporters—objective egalitarians, independent existentialists, experimental reformers, and solution facilitators—and four types of news consumers—information users, consensus builders, activist reformers, and problem solvers. The findings justify ongoing research in citizen-based reporting and audience analysis.
