Sumario:	Jonathan Schwartz, head of software business at California-based Sun Microsystems, announced a new approach to fighting the threat of open-source software on May 19, 2003. The company unveiled two new low-priced servers based on Intel chips, and it revealed that Oracle had agreed to make its software work on these machines. More significantly, the company said that it will now also push an Intel-compatible version of Solaris operating system, as well as a Linux open-source operating system.
