| Sumario: | Sunil Nakrani of Oxford University, England, and Craig Tovey of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, have developed what they believe is an efficient way of organizing Internet servers, by copying the behavior of honeybee colonies. By comparing individual Internet servers to foraging honey bees, and customer requests to flower patches, they have developed a “honeybee” algorithm for Internet-server “hives.” Details of how the algorithm would work to solve the problems of Internet host providers are provided. |
