WinBUGS 1.4.

A review of WinBUGS, a software package that employs Markov chain Monte Carlo methods to fit Bayesian statistical models, is presented. Details are provided of the stages required to fit a Bayesian model with WinBUGS and of the package's advantages and drawbacks.
