| Sumario: | There are no meaningful IQ tests that successfully compare non-human intelligence with human intelligence at present. Alan Turing, a British computing pioneer, designed the most famous test for artificial intelligence, but the test would require a program to share a language with the tester, making it impossible to accurately rank different forms of artificial intelligence against each other. José Hernández-Orallo from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, and David Dowe from Monash University, Australia, are attempting to devise a universal scale of intelligence that can be assessed without reference to language.
