Sumario:Wafer scale integration is making a comeback thanks to the demand for cheap computer memory. The technology could make each generation of silicon chips denser and faster than the last by combining various chips on a single wafer and eliminating dozens of circuit boards. Wafer scale integration could lead to a thousandfold increase in computer speed and improve reliability and cost.
