Inside the machine's software is a map of the brain of Christine Downtown, director of Pareto Partners and an expert in the field. AI systems have generally been unable to tackle the complexity of actively choosing among financial markets, but Pareto solved this by putting together a palette of knowledge-acquisition styles and applying whichever was best for a particular element of the problem. The AI project aimed to make use of the fact that computers have an advantage over people because they can simultaneously follow more markets and many more economic variables. The resulting investment system aims to capture as much of the available returns as possible. pubtype: Periodical doctype: Article src: R language: English refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: N holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
