Sumario:During a three-month Fulbright award to India, the author had an opportunity to observe the country's educational and rehabilitation programs for persons with cerebral palsy. Similar to a trend which he observed among other rehabilitation programs, all of the programs for persons with cerebral palsy were initiated by the private sector, often by a family member of a child with cerebral palsy. In this article, the development and current status of the educational and rehabilitation services for persons with cerebral palsy will be described. Reprinted by permission of the publisher.
