Sumario:A noradrenergic conception of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is intriguing because the noradrenergic system has been closely associated with the modulation of higher cortical functions, including attention, alertness, and vigilance. Indeed, executive function and noradrenergic activation profoundly influence the performance of attention, especially the maintenance of arousal, as well as the ability to maintain attention on a subject.
