| Sumario: | Law enforcement agencies in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area have started a training course that involves drawing on material from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum to investigate a number of issues relevant to contemporary law enforcement. This program, cosponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, has presented law enforcement officers with a unique chance to understand the dangers and atrocities than can happen when law enforcement abandons it role as a protector of citizens' liberties and rights. The success of the program has led the museum to institute other educational programs for law enforcement officers. |
