| Sumario: | A study was conducted to examine the effects of temporal and lunar variables on the number of crisis calls recorded in Vancouver during a three-year period. Results revealed strong weekly, annual, and semiweekly cycles and weak monthly, semiannual, bimonthly, and four-monthly cycles. In addition, very weak lunar relationships with the anomalistic cycle, half-synodic, and sidereal were evident. When data from the third year were predicted using models with and without lunar variables, the addition of lunar variables was found to slightly worsen the predictive value of the model. It is concluded that although the possibility of very small lunar effects has not definitely been dismissed, the calender has a better predictive value.
