Sumario:Despite its success at innovation, the BBC appears to have learned little from previous fiascos, and although its involvement with implementing British government policy in areas such as computer literacy and broadband proves advantageous in the short term for politicians, it is not so good for the corporation in the long term. If the BBC really wants to bridge the digital divide—it apparently has plans to launch a low-cost personal computer terminal with bundled broadband access—it might be wiser to continue providing the great programs that makes people buy new technology.
