| Sumario: | This study examines the relationships among Korean young adult daughters' and their mothers' perceptions of mother-adult daughter attachment, their interaction, geographic distance between them, and daughters' marital/parental status. One hundred pairs of young adult daughters and their mothers in Seoul, Korea responded to the mother-adult daughter attachment questionnaire. The results revealed that mother-adult daughter attachment was reciprocal. Daughters' and mothers' perceptions of attachment were differently influenced by degree of differences between both sides' perceptions, frequencies of interaction, and daughters' marital status. Geographic distance had no effects on perceptions of attachment. Reprinted by permission of the publisher.
