Personal digital assistants (PDAs) can perform as a platform for many services and software that enhance quality of life for adults and older adults. The PDA has the potential to greatly benefit older adults as a memory aid, organizer, and virtual assistant that can remind the user about appointments and medications and monitor health-relevant information, such as exercise or glucose levels. The devices would hold most appeal for elders who are at ease with technology and those with chronic health conditions.
