| Sumario: | This paper presents details on how to create a graduate certificate in an undergraduate department. The Information Systems & Technologies (IST) Department at Weber State University (WSU) created such a certificate in cooperation with the Master's of Business Administration Program in the Goddard School of Business and Economics. This could be a stepping-stone for creating a Master's of Information Systems in the future, or simply a way for an undergraduate program such as IST at WSU to have a presence in a graduate program. The graduate certificate can specialize in areas such as networking, security, information assurance, routing, etc. This research can provide a possible template that may be used for an information systems department to create and implement a graduate certificate program. An application process, prerequisites, list of possible required and elective courses, course structure, syllabi, labs, case studies, examinations, assignments, textbooks, and teaching suggestions are available upon request.
