| Sumario: | Law enforcement officers should strive to understand the relationship between individuals and the technology that they use and apply this knowledge when conducting investigations. As technology use becomes increasingly embedded in daily life, many people form deep, emotional attachments to their computers and similar technology. Investigators should consider this relationship and how it might affect suspects' ethical and emotional beliefs and behaviors. They can also use their understanding of an individual's emotional connection to their technology to explore suspects' motives or gain cooperation. |
