Data were drawn from 39 young adolescent boys and girls with psychological difficulties, who were assessed using the Diagnostic Analysis of Nonverbal Accuracy (DANVA). Results revealed that scores for girls on the DANVA tests of child facial expression, adult and child facial expression combined, posture, and total DANVA accuracy as well as ratings of social adjustment by teachers were significantly related to the volume of externalizing problems they had: No other relations were important.
