Sumario:	Launched in September 1995 by the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD's) Office of Multifamily Housing, Neighborhood Networks is giving many residents in low-income housing complexes through the U.S. access to computer technology. This community-based initiative sets up computerized learning centers in HUD-insured and assisted housing. By offering on-site access to computer and training courses, the program aims to improve the self-sufficiency, employability, and economic self-dependence of low-income families and the elderly.
