Sumario:Part of a special issue on “e-meetings.” The writer offers e-meeting rules and procedures for use in the real world. He provides a list of bylaws that govern electronic meetings, giving some analysis of these bylaws and their subsections, as well as proffering several sets of rules that are intended to govern various forms of non-traditional meeting. He summarizes a selection of existing rules that govern e-meetings of varying complexity, noting in particular the rules outlined by the Michigan Unit of Registered Parliamentarians; the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers; the American Occupational Therapy Association; the National Association of Parliamentarians; a client of the Next Wave Group; and an unnamed veterans association. Finally, he provides a template for governing and structuring e-meetings.
