| Sumario: | A study examined the Native American perspective on spiritual assessment. Data were obtained from a sample of recognized experts in Native American culture, who evaluated a complementary set of spiritual assessment instruments or tools. Findings revealed that the majority of practitioners affirm the importance of administering spiritual assessments in practice settings, although most practitioners say they receive little, if any, training in spirituality during the course of graduate education. Findings suggested that the information provided on the instruments and tools offers practitioners a working template in respect of how many Native clients may be inclined to view various assessment approaches. Findings are discussed in detail.
