He models knowledge spillovers, the use of specialized machinery, the development of a local market for special skills, and the joint provision of sector services as Prisoner's Dilemma games. His model explores the influence of changing payoffs and non-random pairing of agents on the viability and stability of the cooperative outcome. He then applies the model to the furniture industries of Italy and of London, England, in the 1980s. |
