He contends that Internet users must let responsible authorities know about threatening, hateful, and violent material they discover and that computer industry, educators, parents, civil rights groups, and government must work collectively to devise new and creative approaches to the unprecedented challenges presented by online extremism. He explains how the growth of hate and extremism on the Internet mirrors the expansion of Internet use and considers ways in which extremists are exploiting the Internet.
