| Sumario: | A study investigated the adequacy of science materials and equipment available to elementary teachers in the U.S. Data were obtained from a survey of a nationwide random sample of elementary teachers stratified by grade level and proportionate to each state's population of elementary teachers. Findings revealed a somewhat encouraging overall picture, even though teachers certainly are not completely satisfied and, in some cases, teachers have little material support for science instruction. Further findings and implications are discussed in detail. |
