Findings indicated support for the hypotheses that there is a direct relationship between boundary work on the one hand and team performance and psychological safety on the other, and that task uncertainty and resource scarcity have moderating effects on the relationship between boundary work and team performance and on the relationship between boundary work and psychological safety. Findings revealed the importance of team boundary work, linked specific boundary work activities to team performance and psychological safety, and established key task and environmental contingencies.
