| Sumario: | A review of two works by Roderick Coover. An important example of contemporary innovation in anthropological inquiry, Cultures in Webs: Working in Hypermedia with the Documentary Image is a CD-ROM with image, audio, and text organized into three distinctive constellations or “essays” dealing with theory, practice, and performance. It establishes the foundation for an evaluation of Coover's subsequent documentary, The Language of Wine, a montage-based movie emerging out of Coover's long-term fieldwork with prominent winemakers in the villages of the Côte d'Or and Côte Chalonnaise regions of France.
