Data were obtained from structural magnetic resonance imaging of 116 healthy adults, allowing for age, gender, and whole-brain volume. Findings revealed support for four of the five traits: extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Findings suggested support for a biologically based, explanatory model of the Big Five and indicated the potential of personality neuroscience as a discipline. Findings are discussed in detail.
