| Sumario: | A study evaluated the efficacy of a skills-based CD-ROM intervention, with and without a parent component to lower alcohol use among urban adolescents. Data were obtained from 513 adolescents randomly assigned to three study groups: CD-ROM intervention with parent participation; CD-ROM intervention without parent participation; and a control group. Findings indicated that adolescents who received skills-based intervention programs had reduced alcohol use and lower-rates of engagement in risky behaviors. Findings are discussed in detail. |
