| Sumario: | The modernized Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) joined the global trading network on December 22, 1993. The modernization of the KSE has included the installation of the new on-line trading link, efforts to address institutional weaknesses, and the recent purchase of a nearby site on which to build a fully automated exchange. Later this year, the exchange will introduce a computerized central depository that will put an end to manual processing of paper share certificates. |
